The BBC’s incredible report on how an Albania fan got a flare into the Romania game

Albania & Romania charged

Earlier in the week UEFA announced that Albania and Romania had both been charged for the bad behaviour of their fans.

The charges came after flares were thrown on the pitch during their Euro 2016 group game.

Albania won the match 1-0: it was the country’s first ever goal and win at a European Championship finals.

How a fan got a flare in the ground

The BBC have reported on the incidents during the Albania v Romania game, and they’ve told an incredible story about how one fan managed to evade scurity to smuggled a flare into the stadium.

It sounded bloody painful!

Some supporters let off smoke bombs, hurled objects and invaded the pitch. One French-Albanian man hid a banned flare in his rectum to smuggle it into the stadium, prosecutors said.

Some fans are clearly incredibly committed to making sure there’s a pyro show at Euro 2016.
