An image doing the rounds on social media on Sunday suggests that the Dutch press have leaked the Netherlands’ starting line-up to face North Macedonia.
Netherlands vs North Macedonia
The Netherlands will round out their Euro 2020 group phase on Monday evening.
The Oranje have secured wins in their opening two ties of the tournament, meaning their participation in the Round of 16 has already been secured.
However, the Netherlands’ status as Group C winners has not yet been confirmed.
Frank de Boer’s side will face North Macedonia in their final outing. This is North Macedonia’s first time at the European Championships, and things have not gone too well so far.
They have lost their opening two games, scoring just two and conceding five, leaving them dead bottom of Group C.
Netherlands’ line-up vs North Macedonia leaked
Considering the standard of opposition coming up for the Netherlands, many no doubt assumed that Frank de Boer would make a number of changes to his side, much like Italy did on Sunday vs Wales.
However, the aforementioned image doing the rounds on social media suggests that Dutch changes will be minimal on Monday.
The image in question was captured by the Dutch press, who zoomed in on the notes of manager, Frank de Boer.
And the notes in question appear to show the line-up which will face North Macedonia in 24 hours’ time.
The XI, if the leak proves accurate, will see just two changes made by the Oranje, with Donyell Malen introduced up top for Wout Weghorst, and Ryan Gravenberch brought into midfield for Marten de Roon.
