3 transfers which could happen after Euro 2020

Euro end starts transfer season

The European Championships occurring at the start of the transfer window has meant that some clubs have been unable to target a number of players because of their involvement in the competition.

Players have been very busy and focused on their nations and therefore have put transfer matters to one side until their commitments with the tournament are over.

However, now that the tournament has come to an end, there are plenty of moves that are expected to accelerate.

Ben White from Brighton to Arsenal

One of these players is that of Ben White from Brighton who has been perpetually linked with a move to Arsenal and after a number of bids being rejected the news is that a deal is very close.

White was called up to the England national side for the first time for the Euros but didn’t play any games at the tournament.

This was much more down to the fact he had incredibly high-profile competition for his centre-back place and less so to do with his own quality.

White is a very highly rated defender who has the versatility to play in multiple positions including centre-back, right back and even deep midfield.

And now he has finished his commitments with England, a move to Arsenal could be done soon.

Manuel Locatelli from Sassuolo to Juventus

Another transfer associated with Arsenal is that of Sassuolo midfielder Manuel Locatelli.

The North London club have been linked with a move for the Italian international. However, Serie A heavyweights Juventus have also been linked.

The CEO of Sassuolo has spoken on multiple occasions of Juventus’ interest in the player but also about their struggle to complete a deal because of the financial restraints on the club.

It seems as though Carnevali is intent on getting Locatelli his Juve move. The end of his commitments to the national side could then spark an acceleration in Juve’s plans to push for the 23-year-old.

Harry Kane to Manchester City

One of the biggest stories of the transfer season will be the future of Harry Kane.

The Spurs striker has been linked with a move away from his North London home because he officially told them of his desire to move on.

With the European Championships now over and his commitments with England also, it is expected that his future will now take a greater focus with bids from suitors expected.

The most likely destination at this stage remains to be Manchester City who are on the lookout for a striker replacement after the loss of Sergio Aguero.

It is to be a very expensive deal but if there is one club with the money to pull it off in the UK it is most likely to be from the blue half of Manchester.

Although it does seem that Spurs remain intent on keeping him. With the Euros over this will be one of the biggest tests of Spurs’ modern history.
