QPR vs Bournemouth: Match preview
Queens Park Rangers welcome Bournemouth to the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium on Saturday.
QPR came from behind to beat promotion hopefuls Brentford 2-1 at home on Wednesday, extending their winning run to three matches. Rangers were 1-0 down at the break but turned the game around through second-half goals from Sam Field and Charlie Austin.
QPR’s recent form has seen them climb up to 16th in the table on 36 points, eight points above the relegation zone. Mark Warburton’s side have also played a game fewer than most of the teams around them.
The Hoops have the 16th-best home record in the Championship, with five wins and four draws from their 14 matches at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. Only four teams have scored fewer goals at home than QPR (14).
Bournemouth’s away form ranks 9th in the league, with just four away wins all season. The Cherries have a pretty solid defensive record on the road, conceding only 14 goals.
Bournemouth drew their last away game 0-0 at Nottingham Forest. They also recently beat Premier League side Burnley in the FA Cup away from home.
Bournemouth beat Rotherham United 1-0 at home in midweek. Phillip Billing netted the only goal of the game in the first half.
