Our recommended bet for Tuesday’s Deepdale clash comes in the form of a Burnley victory, albeit with hosts Preston too managing to get on the scoresheet.

Match preview

A pair of sides separated by just two points in the Championship table are set to go head to head at Deepdale on Tuesday night.

After the weekend’s fixture list was cancelled owing to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, six outings are in line to play out on September 13th, followed by the same number 24 hours later.

And one such clash will see Preston North End play host to promotion-chasing Burnley.

The Clarets currently sit 5th in England’s 2nd tier, four points adrift of table-topping Sheffield United, having racked up three wins and four draws across their eight fixtures to date.

Vincent Kompany’s troops have turned their form around in a major way of late, and are currently in the midst of a six-game unbeaten streak across all competitions.

Preston, on the other hand, sit just inside the top half, with 11 points on the board. The Lilywhites’ solitary defeat of the season so far, though, did come last time out, at the hands of Birmingham City.

We at 101, in turn, envision Tuesday’s visitors ultimately emerging on the right side of the result, after a hard-fought 90 minutes.

101GreatGoals prediction: Preston 1-2 Burnley
