Cardiff vs Norwich: Odds Manager Betting tip
The Bluebirds vs the Canaries may sound like some sort of birdwatching royal rumble but sadly for any twitchers out there, it’s Cardiff v Norwich in the Championship.
These sides went head-to-head just before Christmas, with Norwich running out 2-0 winners and Daniel Farke’s team will be looking for a repeat on Saturday to keep them flying-high at the top of the table.
Will the Canaries ‘peck’ the Bluebirds into submission, or will the Bluebirds ‘swoop’ and nab a welcome three points?
Read on to see our top odds picks for what should be a tasty encounter.
Cardiff vs Norwich: Match details
Match: Cardiff vs Norwich
Date: January 16, 2021
Kick-off time: 3:00 pm, January 16, 2021 (UK time)
Stadium: Cardiff City Stadium
Odds Manager Betting prediction: Cardiff 0 – Norwich 1
Norwich may be leading the way at the top of the table but they’re certainly not prolific scorers, averaging just 1.34 goals per league match.
Their go-to game plan seems to be nab a goal and sit in and it’s worked perfectly so far, they’re now unbeaten in their last eight league matches.
So we’re expecting the same again on Saturday – look to score and then sit back and soak up any pressure that Cardiff can come up with.
The Canaries have run out 1-0 winners in two of their last three league games, and at 9/1, we’re all over it once more.
Cardiff vs Norwich: What are the betting odds?
Cardiff have dropped into the bottom half of the Championship following three straight defeats over the festive period.
Norwich bossed them at Carrow Road when they last met and with confidence low, it could be a long afternoon for Neil Harris and his team.
Norwich have won six of their last eight, including seeing off Cardiff 2-0 just before Christmas.
With their fine form continuing, we’re expecting another three points on Saturday for the league leaders.
With just three draws in the last 22 matches between these sides, the stats don’t point towards a stalemate on Saturday.
Cardiff vs Norwich: Odds Manager’s Extra Odds Picks
The Argentine was in cracking form in December, chipping in five goals and two assists in his last 10 appearances.
With rumours of an Arsenal bid looming, he’ll be looking to put in a big performance against Cardiff and looks overpriced to bag the first goal.
Six of Norwich’s last seven wins have all come by just the one goal and with their usual tactics to score and keep it tight, we can see a one goal winning margin on the cards once more against Cardiff.

Cardiff vs Norwich: Match preview
Cardiff have struggled in recent weeks, losing four of their last five and that’s seen their playoff hopes slip as they sink into the bottom half of the Championship.
Their FA Cup run was also dashed last weekend by Nottingham Forest, so it’s safe to say that morale is low amongst the Bluebirds right now.
The last thing Neil Harris and his men will want is a visit from high-flying Norwich with the Canaries on a mission to keep picking up points to try to lock in an immediate return to the Premier League.
Norwich eased past Cardiff 2-0 the week before Christmas, following that up with another two league wins and a draw.
They’ll arrive in Wales four points ahead of Cardiff’s rivals Swansea, and they look an excellent bet to return to Norfolk with three more points.
Cardiff team news vs Norwich
The main news from the Cardiff squad this week is that defender Sol Bamba is being treated for cancer and we wish him all the best.
Neil Harris will also be without defender Sean Morrison who is still recovering from injury.
Norwich team news vs Cardiff
Goalkeeper Tim Krul will still be absent for Norwich having tested for Covid.
In better news, Daniel Farke will be welcoming back a number of first team regulars who were rested for last weekend’s FA Cup victory over Coventry.
