Betting prediction: Olympiacos 1-3 Manchester City
Manchester City cruised to a 3-0 win when the two sides met in Manchester at the start of November.
Another win for Pep Guardiola’s side on Wednesday would confirm their progress to the round of 16 with two matches to spare.
An unlikely Olympiacos win would put them firmly back in contention of a top-two finish, although the Greek side are on track to finish third in Group C and transfer to the Europa League

Olympiacos vs Manchester City: Recommended bets
Over 2.5 goals. There have been at least three goals scored in each of Manchester City’s last 7 Champions League matches.
Both teams to score. Olympiacos have netted in each of their last eight Champions League matches at home, including two against Spurs and two against Bayern Munich last year.
Sergio Aguero to score. Aguero has endured a stop-start season so far due to injury but he did score in the one Champions League appearance he’s made this season.
Olympiacos vs Manchester City: Match preview
Manchester City travel to Greece for their Champions League Group C clash against Olympiacos on Wednesday night.
Man City won 3-0 when the sides met in Manchester on November 3rd. Ferran Torres, Gabriel Jesus and Joao Cancelo were all on the scoresheet.
City are currently top of Group C after winning all three of their matches so far. A win on Wednesday would guarantee City a top-two finish and a place in the knockout phase of the competition, although a draw may be good enough, depending on the result in the other Group C match between Porto and Marseille.
After seeing off Cypriot side Omonia in their qualifying play-off, Olympiacos got their group stage campaign off to a solid start, beating Marseille 1-0 at home. The Greek side have since lost back-to-back matches in the competition without scoring a goal.
Olympiacos are still 3 points better off than Marseille and will consider themselves favourites to finish third in the group, at the very least.
Man City slipped to 12th in the Premier League with a 2-0 defeat at Tottenham on Saturday. Although they do have a game in hand over most of the sides above them, it’s been a terrible start to the season for Pep Guardiola’s side, who have only won three of their first eight league games.
City’s form in Europe looks a little better, with only one defeat from their previous 13 Champions League matches.
Olympiacos have won both their matches since the Man City defeat, including a 1-0 win over Panathinaikos on Saturday. Olympiacos are top of the Greek Super League 1 table with 19 points from 7 matches.
Olympiacos have a solid home record against English opposition, winning seven and drawing two of their 15 previous home matches.
Olympiacos team news vs Manchester City
Veteran midfielder Mathieu Valbuena, who started in Manchester at the beginning of the month, is set to miss out due to a muscle strain.
Three Olympiacos players are set to miss out after testing positive for Covid-19, including forward Youssef El Arabi. Ahmed “Koka” Hassan and teenager Vasilios Sourlis have also tested positive.
Konstantinos Fortounis was used as in a false-nine role against Panathinaikos on Saturday. Hillal Soudani is another potential striking option for Pedro Martins to consider.
Jose Holebas and Wolves loanee Ruben Vinagre are both minor injury doubts but at least one of the pair should be fit to start at left-back.
Pape Cisse is set to partner Ruben Semedo in centra defence, with Yann M’Vila sitting in the base of midfield.
Manchester City team news vs Olympiacos
Raheem Sterling came on as a substitute against Spurs and is fit enough to start on Wednesday.
Ilkay Gundogan and Sergio Aguero were unused substitutes in Saturday’s defeat and should also be handed recalls.
Phil Foden will also come into Guardiola’s thinking following his cameo against Spurs. Foden started in the reverse fixture against Olympiacos.
Gabriel Jesus, Ferran Torres, and Bernardo Silva are all at risk of dropping to the bench.
Benjamin Mendy is not yet match-fit, so one of Joao Cancelo or Oleksandr Zinchenko will start at left-back.
Nathan Ake and Fernandinho remain sidelined.
