Match preview

The second UEFA Champions League Preliminary round tie of the day in Reykjavík sees the champions of Iceland and Estonia go head-to-head.

Knattspyrnufélagið Víkingur won their sixth Icelandic title in 2021 and their first for three decades.

Ten games into the 2022 Úrvalsdeild season, they sit second, five points adrift of Breiðablik.

In Europe, Víkingur have lost all seven previous ties they've featured in, conceding 37 goals and scoring just eight.

Their most recent outing in UEFA competition was against Olimpija Ljubljana two years ago, losing a one-legged affair 2-1 after extra time.

FCI Levadia Tallinn meanwhile are back in this competition having lifted their first Meistriliiga title since 2014 last year.

The Estonian club first competed in UEFA competition in 1999 but, to date, have progressed through just 12 of 37 ties.

Last season, they beat St Joseph's in the Europa Conference League first qualifying round, before bowing out to Dundalk in round two.

The winners of this clash will face either Inter Club d'Escaldes or S.P. La Fiorita in Friday's Prelim Final, for the right to face Malmö next month.

The three beaten sides will drop into the Europa Conference League second qualifying round.

Will Víkingur make home advantage count at Víkingsvöllur?
