FC Porto vs Chelsea: Match preview
Porto stunned Juventus in the round of 16 as they managed to win on away goals.
Sérgio Conceição’s side came under huge pressure from the Italians in Turin but held out to advance.
Porto won the first-leg 2-1 leaving Juve with work to do in the second leg.
The Old Lady, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, produced an onslaught at the Porto goal as they looked to get back into the tie.
However, an early goal from Sergio Oliveira further extended their lead.
Federico Chiesa then produced an incredible brace to send the tie into the extra time.
Just before Juve’s second, Mehdi Taremi was shown a red card putting Porto under further pressure.
But in extra time, Oliveira managed to kill the tie with an extraordinary free-kick to send Porto through.
Chelsea stunned by West Brom
West Brom produced one of the most shocking results of the season as they defeated Chelsea 5-2 at Stamford Bridge.
Before Saturday, the Blues had conceded just two goals in 14 matches since Tuchel arrived.
They had also managed to go seven games without conceding before shipping five against the Baggies.
The west London club dropped out of the top four as they suffered another setback in the league.
In the round of 16, Chelsea ended up making light work of La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid.
Tuchel’s side won the tie 3-0 on aggregate in a strong statement to the rest of the competition.
However, Chelsea will need to show they have not been affected by the weekend’s shocking defeat when they face Porto.
