Barcelona vs Paris Saint-Germain: Match preview

Barcelona have enjoyed a resurgence over recent weeks which has seen them move back into contention for the Spanish title.

Koeman’s side have won all of their last seven matches in La Liga to climb into third and just eight points off the top.

Over the weekend, they trashed Alaves 5-1, with Lionel Messi netting in a third successive match, ahead of their return to European action.

Barcelona finished behind Juventus in a relatively easy Group H which also contained Dynamo Kyiv and Ferencvaros.

Barca managed to get the better of Juve in their first meeting before the Italians got their revenge in the second game, winning 3-0.

Pochettino’s promising start

Ahead of his return to Champions League management, Pochettino has made a pleasing start to life in the French capital.

He has won eight of the ten matches since his arrival, losing just once.

The Argentine’s side are still looking to take charge of Ligue 1 as they sit in second place and just a point behind Lille.

PSG managed to defeat Nice 2-1 on Saturday ahead of Tuesday’s huge clash with Barca.

The French champions managed to claim top spot in Group H finishing ahead of RB Leipzig and Manchester United.

Last season, PSG managed to reach the final of the competition losing to Bayern Munich 1-0.

Poch and PSG have finished runners up in the last two Champions League competitions and they will both be hoping to go one better this season.
