Stuttgart are sitting 16th in the Bundesliga ahead of a meeting with Wolfsburg where the away side sits in eighth and with one eye still on their hopes of getting into the European spots.

Stuttgart head into this game off the back of three games without a win, as they lost 2-1 to Schalke and 2-1 to Bayern Munich, as they drew 1-1 with Eintracht Frankfurt in the last outing.

The club remain in the Bundesliga play-off ranks with them down in 16th and behind Hertha Berlin in 15th by one point with them netting only 29 times this season and letting in 41 goals.

As for Wolfsburg, they dropped points once again last time out after previously beating Koln 2-0 and drawing with Eintracht Frankfurt and drawing with Union Berlin.

The Wolves are into eighth now as a result and have narrowed the gap on Frankfurt to just five points in sixth and to Mainz in seventh by one point.
