A fans favourite at White Hart Lane, Younes Kaboul was arguably Tottenham’s best player last season, undoubtedly their most important defender.
The home defeat to Norwich over Easter, which eventually proved so costly in Spurs’ pursuit of a Champions League spot, marked Kaboul’s importance in the side as he limped off with an injury in the first half.
Yet, despite the above, when Younes Kaboul steps up to take a free-kick for Tottenham, the Lilywhite faithful often groan and wonder why the French defender has been picked ahead of the likes of Rafael van der Vaart and Gareth Bale.
Now we know why. Kaboul can strike a ball.
Kaboul smacked a stunning shot past Brad Friedel in training on Monday – which is sure to impress new Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas, enjoy the Golazo below.
