West Ham’s Alex Song left out of Cameroon African Cup of Nations squad

West Ham midfielder Alex Song has been left off Cameroon’s African Cup of Nations squad.

The former Barcelona player had not played for Cameroon since the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

West Ham manager Sam Allardyce will be delighted to hear that his star midfielder will not be leaving for the prestigious African tournament next month as big Sam is expected to lose Diafra Sakho and Cheikhou Kouyate.

The 27-year-old had a tough World Cup when he was shown a straight red card in the Group A loss after he elbowed Croatia striker Mario Mandzukic in the back.
