A week ago most Arsenal fans had barely heard of Park Chu-Young, as one of five late frenzied signings in the final days of the summer transfer window, now they can revel in three international goals scored by their new forward.
South Korea were expected to win convincingly against Lebanon on Friday and they duly did, 6-0 in a World Cup 2014 Asian Qualifier with the new Arsenal striker scoring an impressive hat-trick. Sunderland forward Dong-Won Ji also claimed two of the goals.
Arsene Wenger’s new hitman claimed the opener with a close range volley after just eight minutes.
The second was a firm header at the back post from a corner which showed off his aerial prowess.
And Park Chu-Young completed his hat-trick with the fourth, the best finish of the three, midway through the second half.
Three minutes later, on 70, the new Arsenal forward was substituted after his impressive shift.
