Earlier this week, with the Manchester United squad and coaching staff heading to a training session, Sir Alex Ferguson decided to reward some Bulgarian fans that had reportedly been seen every day during the Premier League champions tour of the USA.
Ferguson, not known for his softer side, stopped the bus and invited the Bulgarian Manchester United fans on board. As you would imagine, they could scarcely believe their luck before piling on and heading straight for their hero Dimitar Berbatov.
After passing a number of the backroom staff at the front of the Manchester United bus, the likes of Chris Smalling, Michael Owen and Wayne Rooney all signed autographs.
Among the highlights of the behind the scenes footage of the Manchester United bus are the Brazilian Da Silva twins playing computer games together at the back of the bus and Nani and Federico Macheda sharing earphones – surely they can afford a pair each?
Once off the bus, the lucky family were then handed some goodies by Manchester United assistant coach Mike Phelan. Heart warming stuff from Sir Alex Ferguson.
In other Manchester United related news, David Beckham has talked down the chances of Manchester City becoming the dominant team in the division.
Saying that City will never be as big and United, Goldenballs delivered the stinging line that “There’s only one team in Manchester.”
