Arsenal and France defender William Gallas gave his national team an injury scare on Sunday, after crashing during a buggy race at a 2010 World Cup training camp.
Gallas, already nursing a calf injury sustained playing for Arsenal at the end of March, took part in the team-building activity only to find himself the centre of attention when he managed to turn his vehicle on its side.
Rather than comfort their teammate, the onlooking Les Bleus squad were reported to have laughed at Gallas for his misfortune. Happily, Gallas was reported to only graze his arm rather as he managed to avoid suffering any major injury.
Gallas could face his first real test on Wednesday when he is expected to be picked for a friendly against Costa Rica, the first of three warm-up games for France.
