Tottenham’s Daniel Levy is playing hardball with Sevilla over Federico Fazio [Yahoo]

Roma to battle Sevilla for Tottenham defender Federico Fazio

One player looking on his way out of White Hart Lane before tomorrow night’s transfer window deadline is Tottenham defender Federico Fazio.

Fazio was signed by Mauricio Pochettino in the summer of 2014, however he’s failed to settle at Spurs.

This season he’s yet to make an appearance in the Premier League, and his future in London seems terminally bleak.

Fazio has been linked with a move back to Spain, with Sevilla looking to resign the 28-year-old Argentine defender.

The problem though is all about the structure of the deal.

According to Yahoo’s Andrew Gaffney, Tottenham power broker Daniel Levy is determined to try to sell Fazio and recoup as much money for the player as possible.

Sevilla, meanwhile, are claiming they don’t have the funds to spend on a permanent transfer, and they are looking for a loan deal instead.

Right now it’s unclear who the loser will be: Spurs, Sevilla or Fazio.
