The Tweets: Lucas Piazon denies criticising his Chelsea teammates after Corinthians defeat

Not long after Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat to Corinthians in the Club World Cup, reports started doing the rounds that young Brazilian playmaker Lucas Piazon had criticised some of his more illustrious team mates.

Terra quoted the Chelsea youngster as saying: “We played without any determination, without a love for the shirt. Nobody wanted to play football. At least Oscar did try. I won’t name names, but the team played with no will. You can’t play a final like this without the will to play. That’s unacceptable.”

Piazon, nicknamed the “new Kaka,” added: “We lacked a lot of things, especially the will to be a champion. I think Ramires, David Luiz, just the Brazilians were the only ones that gave their everything, showed character and that is why they are sad. I haven’t spoken to anybody, but I’ve noticed David Luiz was upset. It’s not a coincidence, he was one of the few that cared about the match, that gave his all.”

The Chelsea number 35, who was on the bench for the Corinthians defeat has since denied making the comments above on his official Twitter account – which can be seen below.

However, all is not well in the Chelsea camp, with suggestions in Brazil that Oscar also complained about manager Rafa Benitez after the Club World Cup final defeat.
