25-year-old Rosenborg striker Nicki Bille Nielsen had a bad weekend.
Rosenborg’s tough start to the Norwegian season deepened after a 1-0 home defeat to Sandnes Ulf, and the defeat proved a little too much for Nielsen to handle after the forward was denied a stonewall penalty in injury time.
After bustling into the box in injury time, Nielsen had his ankle yanked out from underneath his body by visiting Irish keeper Sean McDermott, and immediately the attacker went down in the box.
Amazingly, however, McDermott got away with his blatant foul, which in turn sent Nielsen apoplectic.
Already carrying a booking, Nielsen was served with his marching orders after the striker furiously argued with the referee over the terrible non-penalty decision.
That red card then pushed the Rosenborg man over the edge, and the number 9 proceeded to rip his jersey off his body in a moment of pure frustration.
