The Neymar Specials for the Brazil v Spain Confederations Cup final

The Neymar Specials for the Brazil v Spain Confederations Cup final can be seen here.

Despite wowing the crowds in Brazil and Santos for a number of years, it feels like this summer has seen Neymar break out into the European consciousness.

A mega move to Barcelona was finally completed and Neymar has been the star man for Brazil as they have sailed to the Confederations Cup final where they will meet Spain late on Sunday evening in the iconic Maracana.

Three goals in the opening three games, all of a very high quality, suggested Neymar isn’t just a trickster with no end product.

Japan, Mexico and Italy all conceded to Neymar and whilst Uruguay kept him out in the semi-final, the new Barcelona forward did bag an assist for Paulinho’s winner as well as receive some unwanted headlines for simulation late on.

Intriguingly, Neymar isn’t just a stereotype and has also got stuck in during the tournament – the 21-year-old was surprisingly responsible for the most amount of fouls in the group stages.

Tonight, Neymar goes up against a host of his new Barcelona team mates looking to leave his mark on the tournament.

It appears to be a straight shoot-out between Neymar and Andres Iniesta for the title of Golden Ball – the player of the Confederations Cup.
