The greatest ever Champions League assists: A definitive list

Just a week apart, we may have witnessed two of the greatest Champions League assists EVER!

Last week it was the turn of Dani Alves, with an outside-of-the-boot assist for Lionel Messi at PSG, whilst on Tuesday Marco Reus joined in the fun with a stunning flick through for Robert Lewandowski for Dortmund’s first equaliser against Malaga.

So, for comparison, where do these assists stand against the best ever seen in Europe’s premier competition.

As ever, we were merely looking to put together a list of 10 but it got a little out of hand so this is more of a video dump than a list.

To be included it has to be a special, aesthetic assist, you don’t just earn inclusion for it being an important goal…

If we missed out any, we surely did, let us know in the comments and we will endeavour to add them in.

Enjoy!
