The French had a great draw for Euro 2016 in Paris on Saturday night as Les Bleus pulled Romania, Albania and Switzerland out of the hat.
Yet while the French should sail out of the group, perhaps the most intriguing match is the one between Albania and Switzerland.
When the two sides meet at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis in Lens on June 11, 2016, there could be as many as seven Swiss born footballers playing for Albania.
That was the case in the last Albanian squad as Arlind Ateji, Berat Djimsiti, Freddie Veseli, Amir Abrashi, Migjen Basha, Shkelzen Gashi and Taulant Xhaka were all selected.
All those players were born in Switzerland.
As for the Swiss, they have plenty of men with Albanian heritage in their squad too, including Xherdan Shaqiri, Granit Xhaka, and Valon Behrami.
Of course, if you hadn’t paid attention, brothers Granit and Taulant Xhaka will be facing off for different nations.
