Swansea boss Garry Monk defends Newcastle boss: ‘I don’t like agenda behind Pardew pressure’ [Video]

Alan Pardew’s job at Newcastle looks to be really hanging in the balance at this stage, with speculation rife that owner Mike Ashley will sack him following every defeat.

There’s been a conspicuous lack of support for Pards from his fellow managers, but credit to Swansea boss Garry Monk, he spoke up for his colleage today, as he prepares to face his Newcastle side tomorrow.

Monk was critical of the media agenda behind Pardew, noting that during the Stoke game, the camera would pan to Mike Ashley after every Stoke attack, which in Monk’s eyes, is ‘a bit of a farce’.

‘I understand he’s under pressure, but I don’t like the agenda behind it.’
