After another few days in which incidents and allegations of diving have been commonplace, the Daily Mail’s Matt Lawton offered his analysis of the recent Eduardo and Wayne Rooney penalties. Lawton gave his “sympathy to Wenger. He is right… Uefa are wrong… I think there was contact with the Celtic goalkeeper and Eduardo.”
The Times’ slaphead Patrick Barclay was then asked to digest Chelsea’s superb start to the season. The scribe backed the Blues as being the bookies favourites for the Premier League title arguing “they’ve got everything. Height and strength…. they can circulate the ball much more quickly… I cannot see a weakness in them at the moment.” Barclay was also happy to praise Carlo Ancelotti for Chelsea’s new style of play which is “what Roman Abramovich has wanted all along.”

The hack told viewers to keep their eyes on White Hart Lane because “Harry wont be able to resist doing something” suggesting David Bentley will leave Spurs.
