Steven Gerrard’s stamp v Man United looked fair compared to a nasty stamp in the MLS [Vine]

The big talking point in English football on Sunday centred on Steven Gerrard’s stamp v Man United which saw the Liverpool captain get sent off 38 seconds after he was brought on as a halftime sub.

The topic of stamping remained in focus during the MLS match between the New York Red Bulls and DC United later in the evening.

The Red Bulls won the match 2-0, while DC’s horrible away day was summed up in the 90th minute when Chris Pontius missed a late penalty.

During the penalty, DC United’s Perry Kitchen decided to intentionally and ruthlessly assault opponent Chris Duvall, as Kitchen nastily stamped on his opponent while most people were looking at the spot-kick.

Kitchen got away with his stamp, as all the officials missed it.
