Is Wayne Rooney back?
Do I need to add him to my Fantasy Premier League team?
Having been majorly underwhelming during the first half of the season, Rooney has sprung back to life in the last four games.
England’s all-time leading goalscorer now has four goals in his last four games, including today’s winner in Liverpool.
Rooney also set a new record with his goal at Anfield.
The 30-year-old striker today set a new Premier League record for the most amount of goals scored for one club.
Rooney has now 176 Premier League goals for Manchester United, which is one more than the previous record held by Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.
Arsenal fans are keen to point out, however, that Henry’s goals came in in 258 games. Rooney, meanwhile, has played 357 games for United.
For the record, the third highest scorer in the list is Alan Shearer, who bagged 148 goals for Newcastle United.
