Danish newspaper BT report Tottenham are set to move for Ajax playmaker Christian Eriksen with part of their Gareth Bale windfall.
Despite reports that another club is in for Bale, this is understood to be posturing from Spurs with the deal imminent and the Welsh forward set to be unveiled at the Bernabeu on Tuesday.
Spurs will sign two players to replace the attacking threat of Bale, one looks set to be Argentine Erik Lamela and now the north London side are searching for replacements after thinking they had sealed Brazilian playmaker Willian, who has since joined Chelsea.
BT claim Tottenham have enquired as to the availability of Eriksen and made their interest known to Ajax.
Franco Baldini is keen on Eriksen, especially as in recent hours reports from Russia suggest Zenit striker Hulk is happy to stay and would cost Spurs at least 40 million euros.
Eriksen, a free-kick specialist, has steadily improved at Ajax in recent years and could well have been recommended to Andre Villas-Boas by former team mate Jan Vertonghen.
