Spurs midfielder Mousa Dembele has taken to social media this afternoon to assure fans that he will be fit for the clubs’ next league match despite being stretchered off against Everton on Saturday.
Things looked bleak for the Belgian international when he was forced to come off with an injury midway through the second half, after going down without any notable contact from an Everton player.
Despite rumours that the 28-year-old could be facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines, it seems as though the midfielder will be fit for Tottenham’s next league match against Sunderland next weekend.
Spurs fans will hope that Mousa Dembele is firing on all cylinders as the club have made a worrying start to the new Premier League season, picking up only three points from the opening 4 games.
The North London side had also been expected to do a lot of business before today’s transfer deadline, but as of yet there seems to be no imminent news coming out of White Hart Lane with regards to new arrivals in North London.
Happy. No major injuries, hope to be back for our next Spurs game! #COYS
