Retired footballer Dean Windass was the first guest on the show and the striker immediately began talking about his playoff final goal from Hull that sent the Tigers to the Premier League. Windass talked about how he’s working with Sky Sports on Soccer Saturday, and how’s he is loving the job and recanting stories from the road.
Next, Kelly and Adam from The Stereophonics planted themselves down to plug their new single and album, before talk turned to X Factor with Kelly calling the show “a joke.” The band then announced that all Soccer AM viewers can download for free their new single from www.socceram.com for one day only (i.e. today, Saturday). The band then talked about playing at Wayne Rooney’s wedding.
Lastly, the guys from rock band Ash turned up on the sofa, Helen and Max quizzing them on their football teams, with lead singer Tim Wheeler admitting his names his guitar after Arsenal players.
