Manchester United’s home game with Chelsea tonight looks to almost certainly be Louis van Gaal’s final game at Old Trafford.

Having overseen a shocking run of recent form, LVG has reportedly offered to resign on at least two occasions in recent weeks, according to a host of reports today.

The latest reports suggest that whatever happens today between Manchester United and Chelsea, Louis van Gaal will either be sacked or attempt to resign again.

Having failed to win in seven matches, no one would be surprised were United to lose to Chelsea and a new manager in place for the home clash with Swansea on Saturday.

Jose Mourinho is the strong favourite to take over at Manchester United having recently left Chelsea. But, Ryan Giggs, who has been on the bench with both Moyes and LVG, is also a major player right now.

Along those lines, freelance journalist Paul Smith has released some intriguing information on Twitter on Monday.

And, the most surprising revelation is that Sir Alex Ferguson could return to management alongside Ryan Giggs…

Perhaps Sir Alex Ferguson is not as friendly with Jose Mourinho as he would like us all to believe?

This is a massive claim from Paul Smith, a respected journalist. If you read Sir Alex Ferguson’s latest book “Leading” – it seems very unlikely that the legendary Manchester United manager would return.
