Last week Tottenham lost 1-0 at West Ham in the men’s Premier League in a fiercely fought contest.
Erik Lamela was bloodied in the first half but generally it was a game that was played hard and fair by the men.
On Tuesday this week, the West Ham Ladies hosted Tottenham at Upton Park and there was a scene that would have caused huge uproar in the men’s game.
As the Tottenham ladies looked to clear the ball from just outside their own area, a clash between two players saw a Spurs player stamp on the head of a West Ham opponent.
Was it intentional? You have to presume it wasn’t but you never know.
West Ham Ladies went onto win the game 1-0.
