Much debate is centering around Wayne Rooney as Engand prepare for the World Cup, with many believing he should/could be dropped due to his poor end of season form (although the argument now looks moot having seen Rooney’s condition at training).
Manager Roy Hodgson was asked the question everyone’s wondering at his press conference today – whether he’d drop Rooney if the decision was called for.
Hodgson naturally enough said ‘yes’ (how would he have looked if he’d said no?), but added that he doesn’t see the moment arising judging by Rooney’s current form in training.
