Robbie Keane’s top five goals for Tottenham

“There’s always speculation that I’m going here, there and everywhere but I’m very content with my life and with my time at Spurs, I will continue to play there for as long as I am happy and for as long as I am wanted. It’s good to have a summer off but then I look forward to going back to Spurs next season.” – Robbie Keane, May 28, 2008.

With pictures coming through in recent hours of Robbie Keane at Liverpool’s training ground, it seems the long-rumoured move is on. Spurs fans will no doubt be bitter that the Irishman has left for a “bigger club,” but it is important to remember that Keane established himself as a true great at White Hart Lane.

In six years Keane scored over 100 goals and was always a class act, even in the darker days before Martin Jol and Juande Ramos. In tribute to Keane’s time at Spurs, here are his top five goals from his time in North London.

1. Robbie Keave v Chelsea, March 20, 2008

2. Robbie Keane v Blackburn Rovers, March 5, 2006

3 & 4. Robbie Keane v Fulham, February 18, 2007: Two superb identical volleys scored in the 6th minute and the 68th minute of the FA Cup tie.

5. Robbie Keane v Birmingham City, April 5, 2003
