Ricardinho (Lechia Gdansk) sets up his own goal with bamboozling stepover skills, neat 1-2 & deft finish

Ricardinho should really be given the assist for his goal against Widzew Lodz on Friday night.

Because that’s how good his build-up was; he made it all himself. Picking up the ball just inside the Lodz half, he unleashed a a supersonic set of stepovers a la Denilson, before laying the ball off to the wing. Not content with his work, he ghosted into the box for the return pass, opening his body up for a deft right-footed finish.

His goal apart, Ricardinho was once again head-and-shoulders above everyone on the pitch, and was inches away from a bicycle kick Golazo. If the Brazilian continues to marry consistency to his quality, it won’t be long before a big European club come calling…
