Real Madrid are sending Russian wide attacker Denis Chersyshev on loan to Valencia, Cadena Cope report.
Liverpool were reported as being set to make a bid for the Russian, but that’s now off as he’s off to Mestalla.
Cheryshev has hardly featured for Madrid ever since he infamously played in the Copa del Rey despite being suspended – a move that cost Madrid their place in the competition.
Ironically, the Russian will now make his Valencia debut in the Copa del Rey, with his suspension now completed, meaning he could actually win a competition which his parent club were kicked out of.
And he could make that debut against the most glamorous of all opponents: Real Madrid’s great rivals Barcelona.
Having spent last season on loan at Villareal and now 25, Cheryshev’s future at the Bernabeu looks to be bleak – unless he really impresses under Gary Neville at Los Che.
