Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo set to star in film following the world’s best footballer

A film documenting a year in the life of Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is set to be released later this year.

The Portuguese international will be the subject of what the film makers claim to be a “powerful documentary following a year in the life of the world’s best footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo”.

The documentary is likely to show the highs and lows of Ronaldo’s glittering career which saw him awarded the FIFA Ballon d’Or  for the third time in January.

The film is set to document the great rivalry between the the 30 year old global icon and Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.

While Cristiano Ronaldo struggled towards the end of last season, Lionel Messi’s brilliance enabled Barcelona to claim a domestic and continental treble which at the weekend saw them add the Champions League crown to their La Liga and Copa del Rey titles.

The title of the documentary is certainly going to cause a stir amongst football fans, who are very much divided in their opinion as to who the world’s best footballer is.

A couple of shots from the film can be seen above, from the official Facebook page.
