Real Madrid boss Ancelotti is confident that last season’s cup wins were the beginning of a dominant era

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti feels that last season’s cup wins were just the beginning of an era of dominance for the club.

Madrid beat Barcelona 2-1 in the Copa Del Rey final before conquering city rivals Atletico with a 4-1 victory in the Champions League final.

The European champions have only strengthened since collecting that silverware, adding Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez to their ranks.

Ancelotti said: “We’re at the beginning of an era that began last year. We won two titles and it was very important to us. This season the squad is even more competitive and we have the drive and desire to keep winning titles”.

It’s hard to argue with him, Madrid’s ambitions hold no bounds.
