Racing Club de Montevideo pulled off the transfer coup of the year today, announcing that they’d signed Ronaldinho.
The humble Uruguyan club, who are overshadowed by the likes of Nacional and Penarol, have just pulled off the most spectacular signing in history.
And if you believe that, you clearly aren’t aware that today is Dia de los Santos Inocentes in many Hispanic countries, the equivalent of April Fool’s Day.
Yes, we were had initially too, but when you take a second to consider how small and lacking in financial resources the Uruguayan Premier League is, it would be really something for Ronaldinho to make the move there.
Credit to the Uruguayan club for punking many people with a well-made piece of artwork.
Currently a free agent having been let go by Fluminense back in October, Ronaldinho is currently on the market.
And given how poor his last adventure was, he may actually be forced to take such a low-profile club for his next move.
Unless he does the right thing and goes into belated retirement.

Ronaldinho's late career every bit as enthralling as wherever Freddy Adu ends up https://t.co/mCwh9ZVN2Q
