In Ligue 1 on Saturday, league leaders Lyon look set for another home win this season as Sochaux prepare for their visit to the Stade Gerland. Lyon have made their home a fortress this season, winning their last six consecutive home matches, while Les Lionceaux have struggled on the road losing their last four straight away games. Making matters worse for Sochaux has been the loss of American forward Charlie Davies (pictured) for the rest of the season after the striker was involved in a horrific driving accident just a couple of days ago.
Next, we aim to cash in on two home wins in Serie A this weekend.
Late Saturday afternoon sees Genoa host Inter Milan in the top of the table clash, with Jose Mourinho’s side, who have yet to really light up this season, crippled by a host of injuries to key players as they head to the still undefeated at home Rossoblu. Thiago Motta, Diego Milito and Marco Materazzi are definitely all out while Samuel Eto’o is likely to miss the match having picked up a knock playing for Cameroon.
On Sunday, Chievo will be looking to continue their excellent form of late (three wins and two draws in their last five games) as they play host to Bari who have only chalked up one win so far. The Flying Donkeys will look to Michele Marcolini and Sergio Pellissier to continue their brilliant early goal-scoring form against Galletti.
