Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is (total £37.48, down £12.52)

We said our luck would turn and last weekend it did. Thank god.

For the first time in far too long, two of our three predictions produced winning tickets and with that we begin our slow ascent from out of the red and back into the black.

If we had a hot tip of the week then our advice would be for everyone to go out and back Sint Truiden (pictured) against Genk on Tuesday night. With a ground holding just 11 thousand spectators and having returned to the Belgium top flight after gaining promotion last season, minnows Sint Truiden have begun the new season in inspired form by winning their last six matches in all competitions. They are currently three points clear at the top of the league, and they will be looking to extend that lead by beating 12th-placed Genk.

Backing Sint Truiden, we are staking three separate £2 bets on the score being 1-nil (6/1), 2-nil (9/1) and 2-1 (8/1) to Sint Truiden in which we will receive returns of £14, £20 or £18 respectively.

On Wednesday night in Spain, La Liga rolls back into action with a jam-packed night of action. Getafe, who have lost two on the bounce since beating Racing Santander away on the opening day, face fifth-placed Valencia who remain unbeaten this term. Elsewhere, second-bottom Atletico Madrid will be desperate for their first win of the new campaign as they take on mid-table Almeria at the Vicente Calderon.

Predicting that both matches will produce more than two goals (Getafe-Valencia 5/6; Atletico-Almeria 4/6) we aim to turn a £2 stake into a £6.11 return.

Lastly, on Thursday night in Italy Genoa play host to Juventus in a match which will lay down a marker as to both sides ambitions in the league this season. In short, with Juve still unbeaten this season we expect the Bianconeri to chalk up another three points and in doing so we are willing to stake two separate £1 bets for Vincenzo Iaquinta to score at anytime and Juventus to win (5/2) and/or David Trezeguet to score at anytime and Juventus to win (5/2).

If either bet comes to fruition we’ll claim a £3.50 return, with our hopes being for both predictions to prove true and thereby giving us a double win.

As many of you will have seen we are also running a new, fun and free predictions game on the site which can be found here.
