Our regular betting experiment is going pretty poorly over the last few weeks and our initial stake is dwindling rapidly. For those that are keeping track (hopefully none of you!) we are now down £16.50 following an initial outlay of £25 with the good folk at Pinnacle Sports.
The reason we are now working with Pinnacle is that they simply offer the best odds of ANY betting company out there, and with greater margins comes the hope of greater profits. Sign up to Pinnacle Sports by clicking here.
Following a poor run of gambling, we are reverting to what we know best – the Premier League and sticking our money on four games this coming weekend which we feel are only going one way.
First up we are backing Manchester City at home to West Brom. Roberto Mancini’s side can be expected to bounce back from their draw at Birmingham and the Baggies, who have just one win this calendar year, look unlikely to stop Silva, Dezko, Tevez and co.
Next is another dead cert. Arsenal will win at Newcastle, reeling from the loss of Andy Carroll and now the long term injury to Shola Ameobi. Nile Ranger will have his work cut out against a determined Gunners side that has already won at St James’ in the Carling Cup this season.
To complete our foursome we head to the two matches on Sunday. In our preview we back West Ham to beat Birmingham and it would be no surprise if Victor Obinna scores again and the Hammers get a measure of revenge for their Carling Cup semi-final defeat to Alex McLeish’s side.
Finally, we also believe Chelsea will beat Liverpool at Stamford Bridge in the big game of the weekend (preview here). Forget the Torres factor, Carlo Ancelotti’s team are playing well again and Liverpool have been pretty hopeless away this season.
So, to recap, we are placing the princely sum of £2 on Manchester City (1.457), Arsenal (1.714), West Ham (2.100) and Chelsea (1.602) all winning over the weekend, with a return from this accumulator of £16.80 – £14.80 profit.
