21-year-old Joshua Brenet has some big cojones.
The PSV defender has today revealed his bravado and self-confidence with a eye-catching comment in the Dutch media.
PSV edged out Manchester United to reach the last 16 of the Champions League last night, and after the match Brenet was drawn into a discussion about the possible next opponents for the Dutch side.
Having finished the group in the runners-up spot, PSV will now be drawn against a team who finished first in their Champions League group. That may well be FC Barcelona.
Brenet, however, isn’t scared of the reigning champs. He is today quoted in Telegraaf saying:
Every club is wonderful, but I’m a fan of Barcelona. It would be nice to play against them, whether it’s this round, the next round or in the final.
We will eat Messi, Suarez and Neymar alive.
That’s a big statement!
Leo Messi and Neymar earned Ballon d’Or nominations for 2015, with Luis Suarez missing out as Real Madrid rival Cristiano Ronaldo completed the shortlist.
