Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has seemingly played his final game for the club, with the 33 year old Czech stopper linked heavily to Arsenal, Manchester United and PSG.
According to today’s L’Equipe, PSG have pulled out of the race to sign Petr Cech due to the goalkeeper’s preference to sign for Arsenal.
The legendary goalkeeper was usurped by young star Thibaut Courtois at Stamford Bridge this season and is understandably not yet ready to play second fiddle to anyone.
The French newspaper report that Cech would prefer to stay in London and claim an agreement is close between Chelsea and Arsenal.
Despite being second choice under Jose Mourinho this season, the club legend was consistently superb when called upon.
Petr Cech’s arrival at Arsenal could spell trouble for David Ospina and especially Wojciech Szczesny, who recently stated his desire to stay at the Emirates for years to come.
