A crazy situation unfolded in the Venezuelan first division at the weekend.
As part of breast cancer awareness month, Venezuelan club Deportivo Tachira chose to support the campaign against the illness by swapping their trademark yellow-black strip for a one-off pink uniform for Sunday’s match against Atletico Venezuela. That decision however provoked a crazy response from their own fans.
Enraged at the sight of their team in pink strips, fans of Deportivo Tachira rioted before the kick-off.
The supporters invaded the pitch, and incredibly managed to stay on the field for 40 minutes in a move which caused the abandonment of the match.
