Phil Neville appeared on Football Focus this morning, and offered some rather bland and generic analysis on his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.
To be fair to Neville, it’s hard to be original o the Ronaldo-Messi debate as everything’s been repeated ad nauseum, though he does offer some interesting insight in Cristiano’s dedication and commitment to his game.
Neville says that having worked with him for several seasons at Man United, he can confirm that Ronaldo is the hardest working player he ever played with.
Neville says that Ronaldo spends ‘three or four hours lifting weights in the gym every day’.
On top of at least 2 hours of actual football training, that’s around 6 hours a day Ronaldo spends training. Yikes.
