Pep Guardiola jokes do the rounds as Man United take charge of CL qualification [Tweets]
The final weeks of the season are turning into an absolute disaster for Manchester City.
Sunday’s 2-2 draw has somehow handed Manchester United the advantage in the race for the top four and it leaves Pep Guardiola in a precarious position.
Twice Manchester City led on Sunday against Arsenal. Twice the Gunners came back and whilst Manuel Pellegrini’s side played in the Champions League semi-final on Sunday, they may not be in it next season.
Manchester City lead Manchester United in the Premier League table by two points and with a better goal difference.
But, United have two games in hand. Starting with West Ham away on Tuesday night in what is the last game at Upton Park.
City head to Swansea on the final day which looks like a very tough fixture, with the Welsh side in form.
United meanwhile host Bournemouth at Old Trafford.
With an FA Cup final to come, Louis van Gaal could yet save his job with three games to go – it is turning into an absolutely fascinating state of affairs in Manchester.
On Sunday, the Pep Guardiola jokes started doing the rounds with the incoming Manchester City manager, now looking very likely to be playing Europa League football next season.

No sympathy for @MCFC money men. If they miss top four, they must take blame for Pellegrini-Guardiola mismanagement. pic.twitter.com/LpJegVD5Xu
