Panenka FAIL: Kelvin (Porto) sees his chipped penalty saved by Diego Alves (Valencia)

After the exploits of Andrea Pirlo and Sergio Ramos at Euro 2012, it is no surprise that we have encountered our first Panenka penalty of the summer.

Pre-season matches often throw up shoot-outs to decide the winner of some nonsensical friendly tournament and so it played out on Saturday night as Valencia drew 1-1 with Porto.

Luckily for Kelvin (pictured), Porto missed all their penalties and lost the shoot-out 2-0 in pretty depressing fashion.

The 19-year-old Brazilian attempted a Panenka but it was so slow that Diego Alves had plenty of time to dive and then divert his leg to save the penalty kick.
