Ouch! Dundee duo Kyle Benedictus and Declan Gallagher KO each other with headbutts

Dundee lost 2-0 at Aberdeen in the SPL on Saturday, and the visitors’ defeat was made to look shambolic when two of their players managed to lay each other out.

Already 2-down at the time, Dundee defenders Kyle Benedictus and Declan Gallagher succumbed to friendly fire when the pair both went to challenge for a high ball.

Unfortunately for the duo, their full-bloodied efforts to win the headers backfired painfully as they proceeded to headbutt each other full in the kissers.

Gallagher came off worse, and for a time it looked like he’d have to be taken off injured as he clutched his nose in agony. Like a strong Scot, though, he eventually returned.

The Dundee double face-ache wasn’t the only head injury in Scotland on Saturday. St Johnstone defender Frazer Wright is also left bloodied after breaking his nose in a clash with Inverness CT’s Billy McKay.
