This golazo, from a player you’ve most likely never heard of, is a dead-cert to be one of the goals of the season when the 2012-13 campaign eventually comes to a close.
Kuban Krasnodar beat Terek Grozny 2-1 in the Russian Premier League on Saturday, but the result was secondary to Martin Jiranek’s jaw-dropping consolation strike for the visitors.
Jiranek, a 33-year-old former Czech international centre-half, showed balls of steel as he took aim from fully 45-yards in the first half. The result however was electric, as the pro leathered a footballing version of a ballistic missile that laser-beamed into the top corner.
It was truly world-class.
