Earlier this year, we featured the news that Tottenham had signed Nigerian starlet Musa Yahaya.
Dubbed “the new Iniesta,” Yahaya is highly-rated and was part of the Nigeria side that won the Under-17 World Cup.
Yahaya has been out on loan at Celta Vigo but it has been confirmed that he will start pre-season training for 2014/2015 at Spurs.
The player’s agent, Babawo Mohammed is quoted as saying: “Yahaya is a Spurs player. He will return to Spurs early enough for the pre-season because he is billed for the training tour.”
It looks like Spurs will have to wait a while to sign Yahaya officially, with the youngster only on a pre-contract with the north London side.
Babawo Mohammed adds: “I must remind you that these kids are yet to sign professional contracts because they are still minors. However, by next year all of them will be up to age to sign professional contracts. Indeed, Idowu and Alfa will be 18 this year while Musa, Chidera and Yahaya will be next year.”
